Washing: Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle is safe and won't damage the cap. That said, hand washing with a soft cloth is strongly recommended to protect the 3D raised lip embroideries and the delicate script on the mesh side, which are more sensitive than a flat print.

Detergent: Use a small amount of mild detergent. Avoid bleach and harsh formulas entirely, they can fade the red embroidery thread and weaken the raised stitching over time.
